This substantial 216-gram Colombian blue mist quartz specimen measures 4.4" x 1.6" x 1.3" and features a large, obvious penetrator crystal that pierces completely through both sides of the main formation. The specimen displays pristine condition with blue mist inclusions, Lemurian etchings, and Devic features at the termination.

The penetrator formation occurs when a secondary crystal grows through the main crystal during formation, creating a unique geological feature. The main crystal maintains water-clear transparency above the blue mist zone while preserving the structural integrity around the penetrating crystal.

Harvested in 2016 from near Cerro Peñas Blancas at 8,500 feet elevation in the Colombian Andes, this specimen demonstrates the complex crystal relationships possible during formation of crystals that are found at this high altitude. The substantial weight combined with the rare penetrator feature makes this an exceptional example of Colombian mountain quartz geology.
