Collection: The High Altitude Colombian Blue Mist Quartz Collection

The High Altitude Colombian Blue Mist Quartz Collection features clear quartz specimens with distinctive purportedly titanium-infused inclusions that create wispy, blue-tinted patterns within each crystal. These specimens were harvested in 2016 near a remote Cerro Peñas Blancas area in the Andes Mountains of Colombia at an elevation of approximately 8,500 feet above sea level.
Each specimen displays characteristic blue mist inclusions concentrated at the base before transitioning to clear terminations. We've heard of a laboratory analysis that indicates these crystals achieve 97% pure quartz composition, significantly exceeding the typical 79-80% purity found in most clear quartz specimens, including those from Arkansas deposits.
The collection showcases various natural formation features including Lemurian etchings, Devic facets, natural keys, and penetrator configurations. The high-altitude formation environment combined with the blue mist inclusions creates the unique optical properties that distinguish these specimens from standard clear quartz varieties.
All specimens are mine run, cleaned only with water to preserve their natural formation characteristics. The remote mountain location and limited accessibility of the Cerro Peñas Blancas area contributes to the finite nature of this collection.
